BIM-FIRST APPROACH

Macro Micro Architecture adopts a BIM-first approach, initiating projects with Building Information Modeling (BIM). This entails creating a 3D digital model, intentionally cut to show plans, elevations, sections and 3D information. Originally designed for coordination and clash detection, we have refined this process by using visualization software to test design iterations, focusing on geometry, materials, and lighting. Client collaboration is enhanced through shared visuals, providing a comprehensive preview of the architectural aesthetics well before construction commences.

HISTORY

Macro Micro Architecture was founded in London in 2023. After returning from a deep dive into the macro and microcosms of critical architecture, mass timber and passive design in London UK and Canada, Sebastian started the practice in his hometown to further engage with the 2050 Paris agreement climate targets through improving our built environment.
